Vegas Shows

It’s no secret that Las Vegas has some of the most exciting shows of all time. And while Cirque du Soleil might be one of the more popular acts right now, it’s definitely not the only one for you to take in. So, let’s start out with Cirque du Soleil, and then talk about the other acts that you can take in while you’re in the city.

Cirque du Soleil

Cirque du Soleil is one of the mainstays of Las Vegas. It has been there since 1993, and it has grown in popularity on a steady basis since then. Today, the act is far bigger than Vegas, but this is still one of the main attractions within the city.

Currently, Cirque du Soleil shows are playing in a few different Vegas locations. You can see Mystere at Treasure Island, O at the Bellagio, Ka at the MGM Grand, along with several other acts, such as The Beatles tribute show and the Michael Jackson tribute show. These have various affiliations with Cirque du Soleil, and all of them are highly entertaining. Cirque du Soleil is a unique experience because of the varied stories and acts that they portray. Not only is this one of the best stage shows you will ever experience, it also has world class musicians performing. It truly is a one of a kind experience.

Other Acts

There’s always something going on in Vegas. If you’ve ever been there, you know that it can sometimes feel like a never ending party. But really, there’s something for all ages going on within the city. So, whether you want to join a poker tournament, go see a concert or stage show, or just have an amazing meal, Vegas will not disappoint you.

In fact, other acts have set up permanent residence within the city. For example, magician Criss Angel is a frequent performer in Vegas. His Mindfreak show is one of the most popular magic shows of all time, and even though he’s been performing for several years, he is still growing in popularity. Vegas is the perfect venue for him to be performing thanks to the constant influx of tourists and entertainment seekers.

Musicians are always setting up in Vegas, too. Some of the legends of music have spent time performing in the city. Some of the more recent names include Barry Manilow, Imagine Dragons, Elton John, Cher, Britney Spears, and the Backstreet Boys. If you love music, this is one place you need to visit.

We’d be remiss if we didn’t talk about Vegas’s history of bringing in amazing musicians. Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. were once staples of the nightlife here, and played a huge part in helping the city to grow.

Events in Vegas

Interested in sports? Vegas has you covered. There are a number of semi-pro teams in the city, including the Triple-A farm club of the New York Mets, the Las Vegas 51s. It’s also rumored that the Oakland Raiders of the NFL will be relocating to Las Vegas. Current plans indicate that this will happen for the 2020 season, but this might change in the coming months. The bottom line: sports are a big part of our culture, and Vegas is attempting to draw professional teams into the city. This will only make your Las Vegas experience better.

There are also theatrical acts of all sorts playing in Vegas at any time. From performances of The Wizard of Oz, to other Broadway sized shows, this is one of the most exciting cities to be in for culture and the arts.
